Lindsay Byers-Wagner

Attorney at Law

About Lindsay

Lindsay is a people-person in the broadest sense of the term and her clients feel her warmth and authenticity immediately.  She creates a safe environment where clients are comfortable sharing their concerns and hopes for the future.  She understands that when folks seek out a family law attorney, they are likely going through an unknown and scary transition period and that it is important to communicate clearly, consistently and with compassion.

Lindsay saw the negative effects of the court system on families while litigating issues related to property division, cash flow and child custody. The “one size fits all” approach the court system provides for divorcing spouses not only disregards the specific and personal needs of each family, but is often costly, breeds animosity, and can result in folks feeling powerless to shape their futures.  Lindsay joined Gondring Law because she wants to empower her clients to define their future on their own terms and find resolutions that work for their specific circumstances.

Using the Collaborative Process, Mediation and other alternative dispute resolution options, Lindsay guides clients through the entire separation and divorce process.

A “double Tar Heel,” Lindsay earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her law degree from UNC School of Law. While in law school, Lindsay served on the executive board of the Carolina Public Interest Law Organization, was actively involved in the Public Interest Mentor/Mentee program, co-founded UNC Law’s Chapter of If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice, served as Chief Articles and Notes Editor for the First Amendment Law Review, and was recognized for completing over 80 hours of pro bono work.

On the personal side, Lindsay and her husband love visiting craft breweries, playing board games, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with their perfect cats, Roy and Petunia. As a morning person who struggles to stay up past 9 p.m., Lindsay has also developed an (arguably unhealthy) affection for espresso.
